Chupei City
Cultural Affairs Bureau of Chupei City has a flowery courtyard. Visitors would find it pleasant for their leisure time activities. Another distinguishing feature is our public art, which essence is extracted from both the traditional and modern culture. Artworks, such as the Stone Pen, the Morning Bell, the Communication, the He Map and the Luo Writing, and a series of rural-life sculptures, all reveal the abundance of our elegant culture. In addition, on the Hanlin Bridge of Xianzheng 9th Road, there are 13 pairs of copper lions, and each with different design, representing the 13 villages/towns of our county. Cultural Affairs Bureau of Chupei City replaced all 17 pcs of traditional mercury lamps street lights around the Cultural Center with AOP 120W street lights. The power consumption for those mercury lamps are over 300 watt each. After the replacement completed at June, 2007, it save more than 1,000 KW.Hr for their electricity bill. |
